GRR: National Teams
It’s business as usual for a very effective USA women’s 7s team as the Eagles finished Pool Play at the Cape Town 7s 2-1.
Only a somewhat unlucky end to the game against Australia—one missed tackle and one dropped ball—prevented a clean sweep.
Difficulties continue for the USA Men’s 7s team, with the Eagles finishing 1-2 in Pool Play in Cape Town and looking at the bottom eight for the first time since Singapore in 2018.
The USA High School All Americans lost both of their games on Day Two of the World School 7s to finish up tied for 7th.
The USA HS All Americans’ 2-1 day at the World School 7s was a surprise.
Regardless of how the tournament ends, it has to be considered something of a success given expectations.

In the opener the HSAA team took on the defending World School 7s Champions the New Zealand Condors.
HSAA vs NZ CondorsThe Condors struck first but it was very slow going as the Americans made some key try-saving tackles—Lucas Lacamp and Peyton Wall logging some impressive defensive efforts.
