Men D1AA Rankings 2026-27 Week 6
We took a break last week but all that did was force us into a bunch of wild changes.
Four new ranked teams, three teams moving up eight spots or more (including Principia jumping 17), and some big fallers, too.
We suspect some of these recent results might be thrown out as teams figure out what they have. But, really, this division is all over the place right now.
BYU, Colorado Solid in Rocky Mountain
BYU opened their season with a nicely-taken 57-17 win over Air Force as the Cougars resume their spot as the favorites in the Rocky Mountain Conference.
Central Washington Men's Rugby Seeks Head Coach

Located in Ellensburg, Wash,, CWU Rugby competes in the D1AA Northwest Collegiate Rugby Conference (NCRC).
The Collegiate Sport Club is looking for a volunteer coach who can continue building a competitive and sustainable rugby culture while helping players develop on and off the field.
WashU, SLU Start Strong in Gateway
The Gateway Conference kicked off with Washington U. and SLU both winning their openers.
SLU hammered Southern Illinois with Hugh Bukowski, Neil O'Connor, Ethan Gallant, Danny Garcia, Joaquin Martinez, Jacob Zorc, and Matthew Balbach all scoring tries. Flyhalf Dermot Hughes was a perfect 10-for-1o in conversions in the 70-5 win.
This is a solidly veteran SLU side.
Here Comes Mary Washington
Mary Washington took a huge step forward this week in the Rugby East with a 31-26 defeat of Mount St. Mary's.
In the past few years UMW has sort of been chasing the Mount. But the tables have turned someone.
Coming off a humbling loss to Navy, Mary Washington had perhaps seen where they need to be.
