Round 2 of the ARP is set with NYAC taking on NYC rivals Old Blue, and White Plains taking on 2024 champs Mystic River.
After getting a win over NYAC last week, White Plains is looking to put a few more pieces together. WP Head Coach Ray Weiner said last week that his team just needed to train a bit more, and they had a week to work on some missed opportunities.
Over 60 D1-level college teams are playing this weekend.
Some of these games are hugely important conference matchups—Texas A&M at Baylor on Friday evening, Bowling Green vs Cincinnati, Iowa at Iowa State (!). Some are still quote-unquote warmups.
We're already into the 2nd week of the NIRA D1 and we've got a couple of pivotal matches.
StungFeeling the sting of a big loss, Brown and Quinnipiac will face off in Connecticut and we'll see who can bounce back from a rough start. Brown's late tries against Sacred Heart might be a signal that they already made some adjustments.
Jason Damm will captain the USA as they get set to meet Japan September 6 at 6PM PT, 9PM ET at Heart Health Park in Sacramento, Calif.
Aside from a couple of warmup games, the men's D2 college season hasn't really kicked off yet.
That's understandable. Teams are still building and preparing, and it's not as if too many of them can get their players on campus early.
Still this weekend, the first weekend fully in September, has at least eight games on the slate.
