We're back with our Gamebreakers and this week we've got the best performers from men's D1A, D1AA, and D1 college rugby.
This week we see some front row Gamebreakers, one or two youngsters breaking out, plus a few big points hauls. Here's who we liked from the week:
We have changed our D1 (D1AA) and D1A rankings. This is basically down to where we include the Liberty teams.
We warned you that there would be major changes in the rankings in the opening weeks, and so, yes, this week, Week 2, we have major changes.
First off, we feel unhappy about having to drop out Shippensburg, UW-Platteville, Thomas More, and William Paterson. Their only crime, really, is not having played when others played. Expect to see these teams come back.
Penn State eked out a 28-26 victory over Mary Washington in a preseason game for both teams.
This was the inaugural Sheehy Cup created as a challenge match between the two programs.
The Mid-American Conference got going this weekend with favored teams victorious.
As has been the case throughout the country, questions remain about which teams can get the numbers to compete. The MAC has started well in that regard with teams able to make their commitments.
