Reports are that USA Rugby is looking into developing a DIA division for women's college rugby.

DIA already exists for the men. It was started in 2011 as the College Premier League and then renamed the College Premier Division, before being renamed again as DIA.

In an announcement released July 24, Universal Sports Network stated they would be showing 15 hours of LIVE TV coverage of the IRB Women’s Rugby World Cup 2014 in Paris, France, from Friday, August 1 through Sunday, August 17.

In addition, matches will also be streamed LIVE online at universalsports.com to authenticated users.

The big test this summer for a huge group of young women rugby players came with trips to Canada. The Midwest U23 Thunderbirds took a U23 and U20 team to Mosquito Heaven, otherwise known as Brandon, Manitoba. There the T-Birds U20s played four shortened games over two days.

The Women's Collegiate All Americans hammered the Ontario Junior Storm women's side, a mostly U20 team, 63-7 to round out their Canadian assembly.

The All Americans were in command early and showed some unselfish play and smart ball movement throughout, even when the subs ran in.
