GRR: Southern California
With week three coming to an end for the Southern California Youth Rugby's U18 Girls 10s competition, the battle between the unbeaten 6-0 Fallbrook and 5-0 Belmont Shores was what everyone wanted to see.
The game didn’t disappoint with both teams demonstrating speed, hard hitting, and surgical passing. Fallbrook came off the pitch victorious 37-7.
Belmont Shore defeated the San Diego Mustangs 26-19 in Southern California action.
It was a big result for Belmont Shore which had been showing well this season.
On April 9, with temperatures expected to reach 90 degrees, Southern California will see a clash between some of the top high school girls U18 teams.
Coming of a tough loss against Belmont Shore, the SOC Raptors managed to edge Thunder 31-26, defeating the defending national HS club champions and making it clear that Southern California is competitive throughout.
Girls HS Rugby has been delayed a bit in some areas as the ripples of the COVID pandemic have made it slow going in recharging some teams and leagues.
