GRR: Sevens World Series
World Rugby, the Hong Kong Rugby Union and Sport Singapore have taken the decision to reschedule the Hong Kong and Singapore rounds of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2020 in response to continued health concerns relating to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
The pools and schedule have been confirmed for the hotly anticipated HSBC Los Angeles Sevens as the speed, skill and athleticism of world class rugby sevens is set to raise the roof at the Dignity Health Sports Park from 29 February – 1 March, 2020.
The LA 7s will be the first Men's Sevens World Series tournament of the season that has the full slate of games.
Glory almost returned to the USA Men’s 7s team, but certainly their level of play is back.
Stopped from a place in the final only thanks to a strong performance by South Africa, the Eagles finished the Sydney 7s in 3rd place, having beaten Scotland, Japan, Australia, and, finally, England; all of those victories were in a dominant fashion.
Looking better than they have in a while, the USA Men's 7s team is 2-0 going into Day Two at the Sydney 7s.
With a tournament played in blistering heat, the Eagles managed to handle it better than most, despite captain Ben Pinkelman's protestations after having to make two big runs in the worst of it.
