The North American Lions elite-level HS touring 7s program has named its coaches for 2019.
The program will send a boys team to three different tournaments: the Tournoi Des Capitales in Paris, the Dubai7s (which they won in 2018), and the Rugbytown 7s in Glendale, CO. Meanwhile, a girls team will also go to Paris.
The North American Lions U19 select team will face the North American Barbarians in the semifinals of the Dubai 7s International U19 Men’s competition.

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Tropical 7s has announced a partnership with the prestigious NAHS7s series to become a stop on its annual elite youth rugby championship beginning in 2019. North America’s top elite youth teams for both boys and girls are now set to enter and compete in the Tropical 7s U18 Elite Division as part of the series.
The NAI 7s, to be held August 3-4 in Salt Lake City, UT, will have 35 Collegiate selectors coming to Utah at this point plus National Selector led by JD Stephenson.

It's been a successful weekend so far in Dubai for the North American teams in the Boys International U19 bracket.
The North American Barbarians defeated the Peregrines 26-17 and then lost a close one 19-15 to the Westville Gryphons on Thursday. Still, that set them up well for a shot at the quarterfinals, with the final pool game on Friday.

The tournament will run November 30 to December 2 in Dubai, UAE, and Pool D includes the North American Lions, a team of top USA and Canadian players put together out of performances in the NAHS 7s - mostly the NAI 7s.
Out of relative obscurity, Jesse Capriotti has emerged as a true 7s talent.
The Doylestown HS back was somewhat overshadowed this year by Mike Weir and Brian Stella, but he blossomed at the NAI 7s this month.
