GRR: Men DI Rankings
The rankings will get plenty of fodder this week with 19 teams in action.
Nineteen, not 20, as San Diego State gets back on the fields against top DIAA team Cal State Long Beach.
First off, here are the results of the latest DIA rankings poll:
Slowly but surely the best teams of the winter/spring DIAA season are working their way up.
Like an airplane trying to set an altitude record, the high you guy the tough it is to ascend. But Fresno State is now in the Top 10. Florida State is now in the Top 15. WWU, San Diego, and CSULB are knocking on the door of the Top 20.
The big question to deal with in these DIAA rankings is whether a team in the spring can work its way up to the Top 5, or even to #1.
The D1A rankings are back for 2022 and while we didn't give you an update last week we have one for this week.
It's interesting to see that the voters have chosen a new #1, and also that while we at GRR (we are one of the voters) have had a different #1 from the overall poll, the new #1 isn't our new #1.

While the top group is fairly static at present, the teams that are playing this winter are moving up, and we will likely see someone breach the Top 10 in a week or three.
