Men’s Division 1AA (D1AA) represents a highly competitive tier of collegiate rugby in the United States, featuring programs governed by both National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) and the College Rugby Association of America (CRAA). It serves as a bridge between elite Division I play and developing Division II or Small College levels, offering strong regional competition and a pathway to national championships under each organization’s structure. While NCR and CRAA operate independently, both use the D1AA designation for schools with established programs that may not have the depth or resources of top-tier D1A teams.

D1AA Spring Rankings Week 4

We took last week off so we've got two weeks of results for this ranking.

Our biggest move is that USF has run into some mid-season issues and their timing is terrible because they lost big to the two strongest teams in the Florida Conference. There's a good chance that USF rebounds in March.

Beavers, Spartans On Top in California D1AA

ARC and San Jose State stay on top of the Northern California D1AA Conference after both teams logged big wins over the weekend.

For American River, it was a record-breaking day with a 134-14 win over San Francisco State. ARC was led by Haydn Williams, who scored four tries and was a defensive leader. In all, 15 different ARC players crossed the tryline.

D1AA In NorCal: Spartans and Beavers Lead

San Jose State logged a well-taken road win 38-12 over Nevada Reno in the California Conference Northern division.

This was a very physical game and Reno did well to ask some questions of the Spartans.

D1AA Spring Rankings Week 1

We're back with our D1AA rankings, but they are changed.

We include the teams that are playing in the winter/spring. We'll have to wait for some of the HOA teams to play, and that's a bit of a balancing act, but Florida, California-Southwest, California-Northern California, and NCRC are all playing now (or about to).
