Men’s Division 1AA (D1AA) represents a highly competitive tier of collegiate rugby in the United States, featuring programs governed by both National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) and the College Rugby Association of America (CRAA). It serves as a bridge between elite Division I play and developing Division II or Small College levels, offering strong regional competition and a pathway to national championships under each organization’s structure. While NCR and CRAA operate independently, both use the D1AA designation for schools with established programs that may not have the depth or resources of top-tier D1A teams.

D1AA Fall Hot 100: Lock

This is a hugely important position.

Great locks are hard to find because of the combination of height, athleticism, and rugby skills required when you perform at a high level.

D1AA Fall Hot 100: The Front Row

Goff Rugby Report brings back its Hot 100 players for the fall.

Here is our first of several lists, with the props and hookers for D1AA men's rugby. This is only for teams that play significantly in the fall, so players from Florida and the West Coast will have to wait until the spring to get into a different list.

Final Rankings NCR D1 and Fall D1AA

OK, no clickbait here.

We have make simple changes in the NCR D1 and the overall D1AA rankings to wrap up the fall.

We have no other reasons to make other changes. So what we had was #2 beat #1 in NCR D1, and we had #1 beating #2 in NCR's D1AA final.

Dramatic Ending as Tennessee Holds Off BGSU To Win NCR D1AA

Bowling Green and Tennessee completed an almighty tussle for the NCR D1AA title, and when the dust settled Tennessee had, somehow, pulled it out.

Coming in powerful and undefeated, the Volunteers were up against a BGSU Falcons side that had put their losses behind them, beaten the team they had lost to (Louisville), and soared to the final.

NCR D1AA Semis: Bowling Green Needs OT, Tennessee Rolls

Well they do say that this third time is the charm.

Bowling Green and Louisville met twice this season, and the Cardinals had won both times.

But here in the NCR D1AA semifinals, BGSU got the best of UofL.

Bowling Green's success came from the scrum, as the Falcons were able to controll scrum time and that led to them leading in time of possession.
