Once the all-star championships were deleted from the national calendar, so followed the teams that used to compete in them (with some notable exceptions). It’s taken some time to realize just how important those teams and competitions were, and some regions are actively trying to fill the void.

Much is on the line this weekend when Claremont Colleges face off with UC Riverside.

This is the Gold Coast DII Conference, which is mostly NSCRO teams - small colleges - and the winner of this weekend’s game will likely be the conference champions.

Kahuku HS followed up thier successful trip to Las Vegas with a 48-0 defeat of the always-tough Kalihi Raiders in Hawaii HS action. 

"It took us a while to settle down," said Head Coach Seamus Fitzgerald, noting that once captain Misifoa Matagi left the game midway through the first half with a knee injury, the backs lost their cohesion for a time.

USA Rugby Release - BOULDER, Colo. – USA Rugby, in partnership with IMG, will hold the 2015 College 7s National Championships at the University of Denver. Forty-eight of college rugby’s finest men’s and women’s programs will descend upon the University of Denver campus May 23-24 to compete in three tournament fields – Men’s Division I, Men’s Division II, and the Women’s Division.

The Big XII 7s kicks off this weekend at Oklahoma University in Norman, Okla. with seven teams taking a shot at a USA Rugby Collegiate 7s Championship spot.

Only Baylor, Texas, and Kansas will not be represented in the ten-college Big XII (yes, you read that right), while from way back east, West Virginia will bring their squad (pending the effects of another huge snowstorm).
