The Women’s DII bracket in the USA Rugby College 7s Championships is the only tournament to start on Saturday, as everyone else starts on Friday. It makes sense, really, as these teams might be challenged in terms of depth and recovery, and as a result, one less day might help.
There's more to this story than just who won. The women's DII championship matchup turned out the way it did because Tulane, who won the Spring Final, couldn't make it - so we're going to talk about that for a second.

After their performance at the West Chester 7s, both Bloomsburg and Kutztown entered the MARC 7s with a thirst to prove that their loses against the DI varsity teams were just small hiccups in their 7s seasons. However, it was Drexel who made the biggest splash, taking second at the MARC 7s that surprised their competition in the Mid-Atlantic Rugby Conference.
