It’s that time again as the Michigan State Spartans host the University of Michigan Wolverines in the Battle For The Mitten.
A classic rivalry match between these two colleges, the event has been built up into something more under the leadership of Michigan State player Josh Ressio. He has spearheaded this idea into a rugby event that draws thousands of fans.
Indiana University won the team's second-straight Big Ten Universities Conference title, hammering Ohio State University 72-19 Saturday in the championship game.
Indiana finished the Big Ten season undefeated, while Ohio State claimed 2nd with a win over Michigan Saturday.
IU defeated Wisconsin in what was far and away their closest Big Ten game of the season. Sparked by their experienced and talented backline, IU took an early lead, and held a 27-10 advantage at halftime. Wisconsin scored late, but couldn't close the gap further.
The Big Ten Conference #1 seed is at stake this weekend as GRR #3 Indiana faces GRR #12 Wisconsin.
It's been a season of lopsided victories so far in the Big Ten, and certainly it looks as though there's a group of strong teams, and a group of not-so-strong teams, and possibly two trying to jump from one to the other.
