The University of Indiana rode a torrid second half to get past Ohio State and win the Big Ten Saturday at Fortress Obetz in Ohio.
The victory capped off a day of final games in the conference, with all eight teams in action.
Ohio State and Indiana played it pretty close in the first half, but as time went on, IU started to control the point of contact.
The University of Michigan defeated Michigan State with a late surge to claim a top-four spot in the Big Ten Wednesday evening.
This game was a makeup of a September 27 game postponed by lightning. It needed to be played in order to round out the seedings for the Big Ten Finals Day this Saturday in Obetz, Ohio.
The Big Ten Conference has a little wrinkle in it, in fact two.
The first wrinkle is that it's not finished despite Finals Day being this coming weekend. Michigan vs Michigan State was postponed due to lightning, and will be played Wednesday, Nov. 6.
That game has an effect on what the final placement games will be Saturday, so will have to be played.
Ohio State defeated Illinois 38-17 to stay atop the Big Ten Conference with a 4-1 record, and Indiana also logged a victory to put those two on the inside track for the conference championship game.
IU got tries from Will Chevalier and Mike Nettleton in the first five minutes, and flanker Max Ney was over a few minutes later.
