The Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 Draw took place in Sydney on Wednesday with the 24 qualified teams placed into one of six pools for the tournament, which takes place from 1 October-13 November, 2027.
Samoa Ties Belgium, Secures RWC 2027 Spot
For the second Rugby World Cup cycle in a row, the final match of the final qualification tournament has ended in a tie.
In 2021, the USA tied Portugal, and it was Portugal that moved on to RWC 2025 thanks to points difference. This time around, Samoa and Belgium tied 13-13 in the last match of the Final Qualification Tournament in Dubai, UAE, on Tuesday.

In that World Cup Qualifier, Samoa and Chile tied 32-32 to set up a winner-take-all game in Chile this coming weekend.
Replacement Abraham Papali’i scored a second-half double as Samoa came back from a 25-8 halftime deficit to tie the game.
