Neuqua continues to post impressive results in Rugby Illinois and this weekend was no different, as the Naperville, IL school defeated Notre Dame de La Salette 43-10 in league play.
Neuqua defeated Morton HS 48-12 this past weekend to take the Rugby Illinois Boys HS D1 Championship.
Neuqua finished the 2018 Varsity Season 16-0, including four wins over ranked teams. Defensively, the team gave up no more than two tries in any match during Rugby Illinois regular season and playoffs, and capped playoffs with 177 points for and only 19 points against.

The MIAA keeps on rolling and Belmont High is still on top. Belmont beat Lincoln-Sudbury and Xaverian Brothers to remain undefeated in the Massachusetts varsity league.
The Midwest Boys HS Championships kicks off this weekend and it's a new-look tournament.
Previous years have seen the tournament split into HS Club and Single-School brackets. However, that has not been the best option, especially as Royal Irish has won fairly easily on the club side.
On Saturday, 7 April, Rugby Illinois, University of Illinois RFC, Effingham RFC, and La Salette Rugby are partnering to host the Heart of Illinois Rugby Challenge. Aimed at growing the sport in the rural counties of Illinois, the HofI challenge will feature several matches culminating in a 12:30 cup draw between the Mustangs of Morton and the Notre Dame de La Salette Lions.

Rowe-Clark completed an undefeated Illinois league season over Memorial Day Weekend, defeating first-year program Hinsdale 39-22 in the final.
Hinsdale Central High School went 5-2 in its inaugural league season. In the final, Rowe-Clark came out strong some early breakaways and took the lad. But Hinsdale worked its way back and with only ten minutes to go, were within a try.
Neuqua HS is now 3-0 in the Rugby Illinois Suburban league after defeating Notre Dame de La Salette 20-17 on Saturday.
It was a long day of rugby for La Salette, as they played two league games, beating the Fox Valley Chiefs 39-0. But for Neuqua, this was a big result.
Big changes are afoot in the Midwest leagues, as both Rugby Indiana and Rugby Illinois have made some adjustments.
The changes come about because of Notre Dame de La Salette. The small Catholic school in downstate Illinois has for years been a nationally-ranked program, and has traditionally played in the Rugby Indiana Super League.
