It’s been a tough year for USA Rugby’s Training & Education programs, given that USA Rugby’s financial problems coupled with the inability to gather because of the COVID pandemic almost shut it all down.
Longtime American rugby referee and champion of the game Pat McNally has died.
McNally, who played rugby at Cal State Long Beach in the late 1970s and early 1980s was an energetic and well-liked rugby referee who maintained good humor even when others didn't.
The National Intercollegiate Rugby Association, the league of varsity women's college rugby programs, is working with Major League Rugby to develop referees, and the program also needs assistant referees and touch judges.
The program is looking for young and up-and-coming rugby officials to work as ARs and Touch Judges to work the games officiated by MLR refs.
