GRR: Norwich University Men
The Norwich University men's rugby team is now 2-0 in the New England CRC after beating Middlebury in 30-14 on Saturday.
The Cadets opened the game with 30 straight points and held on as Middlebury scored two tries in the final eight minutes. Norwich got two early tries from scrumhalf Tom St. Pierre, and flyhalf Keegan Frisk converted one try and added a penalty for a 15-0 lead.
Norwich continued their solid run of form with a win in league play in the DII NECRC.
It was a big result for the Cadets, as they beat Rhode Island for the first time since 2012, winning 30-21.
Canada beckons for many northern college teams this early in the fall, and Norwich University moves north this weekend to take on traditional rivals Bishop University in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
