How much of a forgone conclusion is the NCR Women's D1 playoff?
Well, be careful. It seems a straight shot for Notre Dame College in 2022 and it didn't work out that way. Michigan's overall team pace outstripped the Falcons to win the championship last fall, and the Wolverines aren't all that different this year.
Despite the laudable efforts by many in college rugby, especially NCR this past year or so, to define who belongs in what division, there are always gray areas.
UMass and Boston College will face off in the Liberty Conference DIAA final after both won semifinals over the weekend.
Once again UMass unleashed their stifling defense to get past Columbia.
"It was a grind," said UMass Head Coach Phil Ciccarelli. "But it was a great team effort."
