Men DII College Rankings
Goff Rugby Report's preseason Men's DII College rankings is a massive piece of guesswork.
We have a large chunk of teams that have moved out of D2 and into NCR's D1—the 2021 Champions, Thomas More; the 2021 Runners-up, Adrian; and another playoff team that narrowly missed out on the top 4, Marian all are out of DII.
It took us a while to post these Men's DII College 7s rankings because, really, they were very difficult.
We had to deal with a bunch of results combinations that could be interpreted several different ways. For example:
With the finals this past weekend, it's pretty clear that Thomas More is the #1 team and Adrian is #2.
As we always say, the playoffs are a welcome opportunity for us to see where teams match up against teams from other conferences.
This year was no different, and, actually, the rankings held up well for the most part.
The DII playoffs are here and we've got 16 teams in action there.
In addition, we've got the SCRC final. The SCRC, as well as the Rocky Mountain, have remained members of USA Rugby, and so will be playing a inter-conference challenge match on the weekend of December 4 at the CRAA Finals Weekend at the Mathews Sportsplex in North Carolina.
