GRR: Eagle Men
January, 2016 started with the news that the USA Men’s National Team had a new coach - John Mitchell.
The search had taken some time following the 2015 Rugby World Cup. For a while, previous Head Coach Mike Tolkin was in a sort of limbo waiting for decisions to be made. Meanwhile, a search was on and Mitchell, who ran the All Blacks in the early 2000s, came on board.

The USA Men’s 7s team finished 9th in Dubai and tied for 7th in Cape Town, winning six and losing five over the course of the two tournaments, but was that all they could do?
Instead of giving you a blow-by-blow account (it’s all on video anyway), I thought I’d give you some observations on where this team is after those first two tournaments, and what I saw.
LAFAYETTE, Colo. (USA Rugby Release) – San Antonio’s Toyota Field will host the USA Rugby Men’s Eagles match against Uruguay in the opening round of the Americas Rugby Championship 2017. This marks the first time in USA Rugby history that the Eagles will play international competition in the Alamo City.
LAFAYETTE, Colo.(USA Rugby Press Release) – Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas, will host its second international test rugby match in a year this coming February when the Men’s Eagles take on Brazil in the Americas Rugby Championship 2017 competition.
