Eagle Impact Signs Tendai Mtawarira As Program Ambassador

South African rugby star Tendai Mtawarira just signed with Old Glory DC.

Recent Old Glory DC signing Tendai "The Beast" Mtawarira has entered into an agreement with Eagle Impact Rugby Academy to serve as an ambassador to the program.

Old Glory DC Signs The Beast, Tendai Mtawarira

A very high-profile signing for Old Glory, the World Cup-winning prop was attractive for the Major League Rugby Club not only because of his talent, but also for his leadership and character. Mtawarira repeatedly said he was interested in working with young people both on and off the field.

Precedo Capital and EIRA founder and president Robin Reid came together to help finalize the agreement, which was made in conjunction with the Old Glory team.

this quote is from a statement released by EIRA: "Because Tendai is a man of the highest integrity and character - and because he has a passion for the youth and wants to be part of developing young rugby players our relationship is a perfect fit.

Obviously his commitments under his recently announced signing for the Old Glory DC MLR team take precedence, but he will start attending as many EIRA events as we are able to schedule around Old Glory’s games and their training schedule. We are already working on the logistics for him attending the EIRA Mid-Atlantic Player ID Clinic on February 2nd at Mount St Mary’s University."

Mtawarira will continue to work on EIRA projects around his Old Glory playing responsibilities. He is moving his family to the DC area and will make his home there.
