The Women's College 7s Championship is happening this weekend, and with Norwich unable to make the trip to Denver, a new champion will be crowned. We take a look at each pool and lend some predictions below, but be sure to watch this two-day event on USA Rugby TV, which will be live-streaming games.

2015 was the first season that necessitated a separate women’s 7s ranking, as programs have really embraced the spring 7s model. Additionally, since tournaments aren’t separated by division but rather “competitive” and “open,” DI and DII colleges (and one small college) are funneled into one list.

With the national champion (re)crowned, it’s time for one last Women DI College Top 20 for the 2014-15 season. There were some important crossover matches during the spring playoffs, and they jostled the top half of the list.

One of two things was going to happen today. Either Central Washington was going to cap off its momentous season by upsetting the reigning DI champion, or Penn State was going to win its fourth consecutive (10th total) trophy. The Nittany Lions reiterated why it’s the winningest program in the women’s college game, and posted a 61-7 victory today at Kennesaw State, Ga.
