With rain and storms threatening Sunday, the USA Rugby College 7s Championships knockout games were moved up to early in the morning, and so we have already crowned national champions in both Men's DI and Men's DII.

Lindenwood-Belleville’s run to a national DII 7s title started ignominiously, as the Lunx tried virtually everything they could do to throw away the opener against UMass-Lowell.

In fact, they even tried throwing it away, opting to toss the ball into touch to end the game - you are not allowed to do that - leading to a penalty that led to Lowell’s game-tying try.

Four teams are left in the hunt of the Men’s DII College 7s Championships, as the pool play and the quarterfinals are done.

In the quarterfinals, Minnesota-Duluth had their hands full against Texas San Antonio, and were just an unconverted try ahead late in the game at 10-5, before a final Fighting Penguins try put them up 15-5.
