Well now that teams have been getting some results under their belts, here we are with our first girls HS rankings of 2025.
It’s been said the last couple of years, and seems to be even more so this year … this D1A is very competitive.
Iowas HS 7s league kicked off last weekend with nine teams in two divisions going 2-0.
As has happened in the league for many years now, teams play just two 7s games in an evening and are tracked in a league format. The format centers around school teams and there are 38 teams in action, including the JV squads, and 26 varsity teams playing.
This is a huge weekend in women’s D1 rugby as the eight teams make the playoffs.
As much as everyone likes to avoid two-game weekend, this will be … a two-game weekend. Friday will be the quarterfinals and Sunday will see the semifinals—everything held in Tempe, Ariz.
Where are we in the SVNS World Championships and requalification?

Argentina's third win in a row has the Pumas in excellent position and it was pointed out by USA Head Coach Simon Amor that the most experienced teams, overall, are the ones doing the best in the SVNS Standings, led by a highly-experienced Argentina side.
