This is a huge weekend in women’s D1 rugby as the eight teams make the playoffs.
As much as everyone likes to avoid two-game weekend, this will be … a two-game weekend. Friday will be the quarterfinals and Sunday will see the semifinals—everything held in Tempe, Ariz.
Where are we in the SVNS World Championships and requalification?
Let's take a look for the men.
Argentina's third win in a row has the Pumas in excellent position and it was pointed out by USA Head Coach Simon Amor that the most experienced teams, overall, are the ones doing the best in the SVNS Standings, led by a highly-experienced Argentina side.
We took two weeks off ranking the D1AA teams because there were a few games, but not enough to move the needle.
We had to make a large number of changes in the HS Club Top 50.
The Friendship Cup had an impact, but we also just felt we had to revisit some teams and, as leagues really start to take on the season.
