GRR: No name
The Men’s National Small College Rugby Organization brackets are slowly coming together, with one national semifinalist already decided, and another set to be decided this coming weekend.
Well that settles that. If there was any question as to whether Central Washington is the strongest DI women’s college in the Pacific Northwest, then it was answered last weekend. Washington State, the reigning Pacific Mountain North champion, traveled to Ellensburg for the teams’ first official meeting and returned to Pullman with a 41-5 loss.
USA Men’s 15s Head Coach Mike Tolkin says he is still leading a mostly amateur team to internationals this November.
While the team Tolkin was able to field against the All Blacks featured nine pros, the team that played Romania and Tonga had far fewer (this was due to a tradeoff USA Rugby made with Aviva Premiership clubs to make the top pros available for the New Zealand game).
