The Varsity Cup starts this weekend, with 14 teams involved in some way, and a variety of mat chips in the opening round.

The Cougars are defending champions and have a bye into the quarterfinals.
BOULDER, Colo. – The locations and teams for the April 10-12 Women’s Division I and Division II Regional Spring Championships have been finalized. The completion of conference playoffs has seen Conference Champions into Regionals, while nine DI teams reach the round of 16 as at-large participants, and five DII teams fill out Regionals by way of at-large placement.
Wednesday saw two of the stronger Boys HS teams in Massachusetts get on the field as Belmont HS ran past Bishop Hendricken 29-5.
This was a rematch of the state finals in 2013 and 2014, which the two teams split, and the first 15 minutes saw plenty of open play and physicality and each team tried to establish superiority.
St. Mary’s College of California will cap off it’s trip to the Northeast Saturday with a clash with Army at West Point’s Anderson Rugby Complex.
It’s been a weird year for the Northwest Collegiate Conference.
