North Central won its 10th Indiana girls high school state championship, marking the team’s 7th consecutive title. But despite the 32-17 decision over Penn, which had finished third at the Midwest Championship, the game was not a one-sided affair.
The Panthers were tested early on and found themselves on the losing end of a 10-0 scoreline.

Earlier in the season Grandville faced Rockford in the Michigan Boys HS league, and won 15-12, but it wasn’t the same close outcome this time around, as Grandville used the wide field to open up the game and spread Rockford defense, winning 25-7.
