GRR: No name
This is always one of the toughest weeks for our HS rankings because of the HS National Championships and how many games those teams play.
We are wrapping up our D1AA rankings today.
It is always really difficult to make direct comparisons between teams that play primarily in the fall and teams that play primarily in the spring. Sam Houston State provides a nice connection between the two, playing as they did bowl games for both NCR and CRAA. Maybe we can have a peace summit at their field some day.
It comes down to Madrid for the USA Men's 7s team as they have to finish in the top four of the upcoming playoff tournament in order to return to the 2024-25 SVNS Series.
Who gets a spot at Boys HS Nationals is an interesting process.
For many teams their place is an annual thing, because invitations are based in part on ongoing quality—we know certain teams will perform well and be among the best in the country because they have depth, consistency in coaching, and a body of work.
Of course the Boys HS Rugby National Championships were held over the weekend, but some more games happened, too.
MIAAIn Massachusetts, we're getting close to the playoffs. BC High put in a huge result over Belmont HS. Belmont has been hit with injuries and it showed.
