Salt Lake City, Utah (Rugby Utah Release) — The next building block of recently founded Rugby Utah fell into place today when Rugby Utah announced the formation of its elite Men’s Olympic Development Academy (ODA) 7s team. The announcement was made on the heels of Rugby Utah’s recent inaugural and highly successful National Talent Combine held in conjunction with USA Rugby.
Many of the players on the USA Rugby South team playing in the NACRA U19 15s remember last year.
In the 2014 tournament, a 15-10 loss to Mexico in the semis relegated the Panthers to the 3rd/4th game, where they won 32-10. That was a nice ending, but that loss in the semis stuck with them.
The USA Rugby South U19s may not be a national team, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t representing their country.
