West Point looked very impressive in shutting out St. Bonaventure 29-0 Saturday in Rugby East play.
Ranked #5 among D1A-level teams by Goff Rugby Report, the Black Knights got tries from Isaac Marret, Koikoui Nelligan, Gerard McCarron, and Scharl du Toit to down #16 St. Bonaventure. Sean McNulty converted three and added a penalty goal. Army is now 2-0 in the Rugby East.
Washington, DC (September 23, 2012) – One of the country’s most spirited and respected rivalries will take center stage when the Army Black Knights of West Point face the US Naval Academy Midshipmen in men’s collegiate rugby at 1:00 pm EDT on Saturday, Oct. 23 at FedExField.
Queen's University Charlotte men's team pushed West Point in an early-season non-conference game.
Yes West Point won, but the score, 48-28, and the fact that it was 26-21 50 minutes in, is encouraging for Queen's.
Men's college rugby is still going, although the number of games is dwindling—at least we have two major matchups to brighten up the weekend.
