Olympus HS has returned to Utah after a successful tour of the Pacific Northwest.
Olympus started the trip with a wild one against Capital HS in Idaho, winning the game by two points (or tying it, depending on who you ask). They then followed up with a game against the Seattle Vikings, which Olympus won 41-19.
After losing a close one to Herriman and then beating Kau Toa, the West Valley Warriors of Utah produced yet another big result Saturday as they beat United 22-19.
Olympus HS from Utah faced Capital HS of Idaho Tuesday evening in a game that is part of an Olympus Pacific Northwest tour, and this game was a tight one.
If you thought the Utah girls high school race was a two-team event, then think again. A week after lauding the Vipers’ results, Herriman has stepped into the spotlight. Trailing at the half, the Mustangs posted 34 unanswered points in the second half to defeat the Vipers 51-21 on Saturday.
During the offseason, Herriman Head Coach Derek Smith reflected back on the 2014 campaign and decided that his team’s schedule needed to be more challenging in order to better prepare his squad for the rigors of postseason play, so when it came time to schedule a friendly against rival and national club power United, he took the opportunity to make it even tougher.
