While the USA women's team has been active in their SVNS Series, and will be again this coming weekend, the men have had to wait.
Yes they played in the Coral Coast 7s in Fiji as a warmup, but they haven't played in a World Series event yet.
Asked if he's been aching to play, USA captain Stephen Tomasin gave a little laugh.
Eagle Men's 7s Named for SVNS 2 Tournament in Nairobi
USA Men's 7s Head Coach Zack Test has named his roster for the opening leg of the HSBC SVNS 2 Series, which kicks offin Nairobi, Kenya February 14-15.
Following an extended preseason and a trip to the Coral Coast 7s in Fiji, the Eagles are looking to get the results in SVNS 2 to move into the final three tournament of the top tier of SVNS.
USA Men 2-0 on Day One in Fiji
It was a good showing for the USA Men's 7s team on the opening day of the Coral Coast 7s in Fiji.
The USA had a close one with Chennai Bulls, with tries from Orrin Bizer and Pita Vi getting them a 14-10 win. The conversions were crucial here.
Eagle 7s Men Set to Kick Off Season in Fiji
The USA Men's 7s team will kick off tomorrow, Wednesday (Thursday in Fiji) at the Coral Coast Fiji's 7s tournament.
With the team in the SVNS D2 this year, which guarantees them only three tournaments (and three more if they do well), the Eagle men will greatly benefit from exposure in this event.

USA Men’s 7s Head Coach Zack Test has named the player pool for the 2026 season.
In the SVNS 2 Series and hoping to qualify for the World Championships series of three tournament, the USA will play in three SVNS 2 tournament in February and March:
Nairobi, Kenya: 14-15 February 2026
Montevideo, Uruguay: 21-22 March 2026
São Paulo, Brazil: 28-29 March 2026
