GRR: US Rugby Foundation
San Diego, Calif. – The US Rugby Foundation and Madak, a leading rugby marketing agency, today announced a strategic partnership to launch the Collegiate Alumni Activation Jumpstart Program.
Chuck Gehl had already accepted that he wouldn’t get the Nelson College scholarship.
The Missoula, Montana front-rower had been told he would not be going to New Zealand. But then, suddenly, it all changed. The US Rugby Foundation found funding for a third scholarship recipient, and Geh got the call.
Less than two months remain for the Nelson College scholarship and the three players there are nicely settled in.
For Kolomona Kahanu, this has been a special trip. As the first Polynesian player to be part of the US Rugby Foundation-funded scholarship program, Kahanu, who is from Hawai'i and now lives and plays in Provo, Utah, has found a special experience.
Three American student-athletes are at Nelson College in New Zealand on the US Rugby Foundation-supported scholarship program.
There is still plenty of time to apply for the US Rugby Foundation college scholarships.
