The procedure wasn’t expected to be a big deal - wrestlers and rugby players, and Jesse Phillips was both, get their noses bashed around a bit - but it ended up being a very, very big deal.
The Ravenwood Raptors capped off a 10-1 season, with a 28-17 defeat of the Harpeth Harlequins to take the Tennessee state championship this past weekend.
Ravenwood finished 9-0 in Tennessee, with their only loss being against top-ranked St. Edward of Ohio.

Ravenwood defeated Germantown 42-17 in their semifinal, led by center Andrew Rappe and flyhalf Jesse Boone in the backs, and a solid tight five effort with prop Tanner Eatherly and hooker Jesse Phillips leading the way.
Phoenix Rugby wrapped up a successful weekend with a league win over Titans United and then a victory over visiting South Doyle, the defending Tennessee state champion.
