The California Conference may well be all wrapped up for the St. Mary’s Gaels, but 2nd place isn’t a bad place to be, and San Diego State might well end up there.
After winning a wild one 59-44 over Santa Clara, the Aztecs are now 2-1 and only have their April 12 clash with Cal Poly left on the docket (Cal Poly is 1-1 and plays 0-2 UC Santa Barbara this Friday).
The United States Air Force Academy defeated San Diego State 46-18 to finish their fall 7-1.
The Zoomies' only loss was 19-17 to Army at West Point on October 31.
It’s the end meets the beginning as the Air Force Academy Zoomies finish up their fall season with a visit to San Diego State, who are just getting started.
Air Force is 5-1 this fall, winning four league games in the DIA West, and splitting games against their military academy rivals - beating Navy in Colorado Springs 38-26 and losing to Army 19-17 at West Point.
