Eastside won impressively over Camas this weekend, taking a game between two of the strongest teams in the state of Washington, and perhaps more than that.
On Saturday, February 17, a gathering of nearly 100 High School players from British Columbia, Washington, and Oregon attended the WWU High School Rugby Clinic, getting a high-level session from Western Washington University coaches and players.
Eastside Lions laid down a nice market with a 29-5 defeat of rivals Rainier Highlands Saturday in Washington state.
In snowy conditions, that became more messy after the sun showed up toe convert it all to slush, Eastside got two tries from Lewis Chambers and tries from Kai Holec and Parker Jackson.
Eastside also got a penalty try, while Kellen Eskridge added a conversion.
The Pacific Northwest has returned to select-side competition with the newly-named Sasquatch Invitational.
Following on from the old Great Northwest Challenge, which was held for over 15 years Pre-COVID, this tournament offers rep teams from western states the opportunity to compete and improve their skills against other state or regional rep sides.
