Texas A&M defeated TCU 29-13 Saturday in a very scrappy and somewhat uneven Red River Conference game.

The victory put A&M at 3-1 and almost guarantees the Aggies will finish 2nd in the conference behind Oklahoma, who finished their conference play in the fall and went 5-0.

One of the strange things about the Red River DIA Conference is that, while the teams involved have not finished all of their games, and have had to wait some months to finish, the league itself is decided as Oklahoma played all five of their conference matches in the fall, and won them all.

The University of Oklahoma clinched the Red River Conference Saturday with a convincing 63-13 victory over TCU.

TCU actually led early through a penalty kick, but two tries from lock Somtochukwu Iromuanya and tries from fullback Mike Anderson, prop Cale Stumpff, flyhalf Trevon Barnes, and prop Justin Fa'aola paced the Sooners to a 36-8 halftime lead.

The University of Oklahoma continued their winning ways with a 47-17 victory over Texas Tech in Red River Conference action. Tech fell behind 14-0 with two tries by wing Manny Soto, converted by Thomas Chinellato. But after OU captain Michael Al-Jiboori was sin-binned they perked up and scored two tries to get to 14-10. But OU rebounded.
