GRR: NCR
With the addition of the Rocky Mountain Conference, NCR now has 14 collegiate conferences representing some 90-plus DII men's college teams under its umbrella.
The Rocky Mountain Men's DII collegiate conference is joining the National Collegiate Rugby organization.
Founded in 2014, the RMRC is currently comprised of 21 collegiate men’s teams across Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming, with four of them in Men's Collegiate DII.
National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) has released an update on where it stands with regard to the COVID-19 outbreak, lockdowns, and thoughts of return-to-play:
The Liberty Conference’s flirtation with its own, standalone collegiate organization wasn’t for nothing, despite the fact that the idea has changed into the group joining NCR.
We're trying to figure out where everyone will play.
As this writer said in a Facebook Live Q&A this week, for many college players, what their umbrella organization turns out to be won't change too much. Small college teams will go on as before. Men's D2 college teams will, with one or two exceptions, go on as before.
