FRISCO, Texas – Major League Rugby, the premier professional rugby league in North America, announced the results of the 2025 MLR College Draft on Thursday.
As hinted at in the below video, Major League has now dropped to eight teams.
The Miami Sharks, two days after their CEO Milagros Cubelli was named Executive of the Year, multiple sources are telling GRR or reporting elsewhere that the Sharks are out of the league and ceasing operations.
Aaron Juma’s transfer from Wheeling to Mary Washington stirred up much more discussion, and indeed vitriol, than anyone might reasonably expect.

Major League Rugby has announced its collegiate draft picks for the 2024 College Draft.
Saint Mary’s center Erich Storti was picked #1 overall by Anthem RC out of Charlotte, North Carolina. Storti was a standout at De La Salle HS in Northern California before moving on to Saint Mary’s, where he was pivotal in helping them to a D1A National Championship win this past spring.
