The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater got some measure of revenge Saturday, and in doing so secured a berth in USA Rugby’s Men’s DII College 7s Championships in Cary, NC in May.
Lindenwood-Belleville hosts a 7s tournament this weekend, and it’s yet another first for a program that didn’t exist a year ago.
L-B made the national DII 15s playoffs, and now is looking at a berth at USA Rugby’s 7s DII nationals. They have an excellent shot, as Head Coach Pat Clifton has worked hard to get his Lynx game time, going to Florida, Tennessee, and Las Vegas to find it.
Harvard hosts the Crimson 7s this weekend in a warmup to the Varsity Rugby Conference 7s series which starts in a little ore than a week.

We’re in the middle of the college 15s season, of course, but we’re also in the middle of figuring out who will be pushing for a major college 7s championship.
St. Louis University qualified for the USA Rugby National DII College 7s this past weekend, winning the Spring Hill College 7s.
It was an odd situation for SLU as they had initially planned to play in Nash Bash, a 15s tournament, but the team later decided to shoot to qualify for nationals, and so split their squad.
