ATLANTA – The USA Rugby 7s Collegiate Championships (R7CC) is close to confirming all the more than 60 teams schedule to compete May 14-15 at Kennesaw State University’s Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
The tournament, which will have six brackets, three each for men and for women, and will be broadcast live on NBC, CNBC, and Peacock.
Iowa State won the NCR Qualifier 7s tournament in Oklahoma City, Okla., beating Iowa Central CC in the final.
The R7CC 7s in Atlanta, May 14-15 is talking a lot about improving the athlete experience, and much of that has to do with some fairly basic, but important details.
Those details are things like: How do we get around? Where do we train? What medical care is there?
None of this is particular sexy, but it's enormously important to the players and teams.
Iowa State won the Heart of America 7s over the past weekend, putting themselves in position to play in the R7CCs in Atlanta.
