10.24.2014 - Alex Goff

Goff Rugby Report is a bit late with this week's Men's DI Rankings, but when you've got about 100 teams to worry about, sometimes it takes a while.

We're back with a top 50, with two new teams, as Florida International keeps winning games and moves in, and Middlebury, who defeated #37 Boston College, also moves in.

The latest ACRC Coaches Poll has Kutztown at the top, with Army moving back past Penn State into #2 after Penn State were defeated by KU.

Bolwing Green defeated a well-regarded Western Michigan and moved up two places as a result. Indiana edged Michigan and they moved ahead of the Wolverines as a result. Wheeling Jesuit lost to Davenport, and as a reuslt, drop three places.

There's a little bit of change in the ACRC Coaches Poll for this week. The top three of Kutztown, Penn State, and Army stay the same despite Army's win over Penn State earlier in the season. Army's close escape from Iona might be part of the reason, while PSU seems to be improving.

We took a week off from our DI rankings in part because there wasn't much to change (although Oklahoma might have had something to say about that).

St. Mary's remains at the top of USA Rugby's Canterbury DIA Top 20 as voted on by a panel of coaches, experts, and media (including Alex Goff from Goff Rugby Report).

Penn State moves up from #7 to #6, and Air Force, following their defeat of Navy, moves up from #9 to #7. Cal Poly and Davenport drop down.
