GRR: Major League Rugby
Major League Rugby has announced that it will hold its 2022 Collegiate Draft on Thursday, August 18.
The first round will be shown live on FS2 and the latter picks will be on The Rugby Network.
There are expected to be three rounds, with 39 players picked.
The recent CRAA championship weekend hosted by the Houston SaberCats at AVEVA Stadium is a perfect example of how those two entities have leveraged what they’ve created in rugby.
With the help of business and marketing consultant Madak, the Sabercats and AVEVA made the organization and the stadium more than just about Major League Rugby.
Staples HS Rugby is partnering with Major League Rugby teams Rugby United New York and New England Free Jacks for a college showcase and combine on February 12 in Connecticut.
Old Glory DC will be hosting a series of events in the week leading up to the 1874 Cup test match between USA Eagles and the New Zealand All Blacks at FedExField on Saturday, October 23 at 3 PM.

Who won the MLR Draft?
Well, as usual with any professional league draft, we will find out years down the road. We don't know which players will get injured and retire 24 months from now, and which players will slowly improve their craft and be a starter for 14 years.
