GRR: Major League Rugby
Contrary to implications posted in GRR, the Atlanta-LA sale in Major League Rugby did indeed go through and Rugby FC Los Angeles will kick off in the 2024 season.

Following on the news that the Rugby New York Ironworkers will not play in the MLR anymore, Major League Rugby has issued a statement.
The statement, officially from MLR CEO Nic Benson, reads as follows:
A proposed investment of the Rugby New York Ironworkers has almost certainly fallen through and that means the MLR team will fold.
One of the comments Scott Lawrence kept bringing up in our recent interview with him was “game time.”
It isn’t enough, said the USA Men’s 15s Head Coach, to be on a professional team. You have to actually play. And, really, you have to play 60 to 80 minutes rather than run on for those last 15-20 minutes.
Someone is starting to listen.
More teams were looking for tight five players but also taking a sht at a young, American flyhalf in the MLR draft.
