Things weren't terrible three weeks into the season for Boston College, but they weren't great.
LSU pulled off perhaps the biggest upset of D1AA rugby this fall last weekend, beating Tennessee 24-22 in the first round of the SCRC playoffs.
For the Tigers, this was their first chance to play one of the more pedigreed teams in the SCRC, so while they had been kept a secret, LSU knew the secret.
D1AA playoff time is this weekend.
NCR's D1AA playoffs are in a couple of weeks so obviously those conferences are deciding their champions and seeds, but even CRAA conference Heart of America is entering its knockout stage.
Teams in NCR are thinking playoffs but there are key games elsewhere, too.
Western Michigan vs Cincinnati has import in the MAC. The MARC is now into their quarterfinals, so every game matters.
We're still figuring out what's going on in the Southern Conference, and NCRC, and Lonestar. Sam Houston State vs Rice is always a good rivalry.
Well ... whaddayaknow ... our #2 lost; our #5 lost (to an unranked team, no less).
That's going to shake things up, no?
Louisville lost by a single point to a very good Bowling Green, and we'd be forgiven if we had just elevated BGSU to #2.
But we didn't.
Both the Falcons and the Cardinals are hovering in the Top 5, but now it's all up in the air.
