Goff Rugby Report has an update on the DIAA College playoff picture.
Sixteen teams are expected to compete for the title, with the final May 7 in Moraga, Calif.
Not all of the teams we thought would be in the playoffs in this article will participate. So here’s how it looks now:

Sacramento State may well be one of the dark horse teams in DIAA.
After starting the 2016 season with a somewhat shaky win over UCSB very shaky loss to UC Davis, the Hornets lost again a week later, this time to Stanford. But since then, Sac State has won six in a row, including this past Saturday’s 50-19 defeat of previously 5-1 Nevada-Reno.

We mix up the DIA and DIAA standings because there are also DI-level conferences that don't pursue either playoff, and opt only for the ACRC Bowls or the Varsity Cup invitational tournament. So we mush it all together and give you a little bit of an explanation as to who plays where.
