The South Independent conference season moves on this weekend with three games after the opening clash last weekend.
The first game of the season was actually canceled due to Hurricane Matthew, but last week a game did get played as Memphis shut out Georgia Tech 64-0.
If you've been reading these pages for a while you'll know that we like to let you know about players or teams who are making a move. Certainly we've tracked North Texas, from a conference champion that didn't know what the standard was in the outside world, to a team that learned the lessons for next time, to now a team struggling for a home.
Bowling Green hooker Phil Bryant is our Player Spotlight this week after he helped spark a 47-14 win over Western Michigan.
Bowling Green may have won the MAC playoffs last year, but they still remember being beaten by Western Michigan in the regular season.
That game was in the backs of the minds of the BGSU players this past weekend as the Falcons took on the Broncos in yet another meeting. Both teams were undefeated, of course, and so this game had plenty of meaning.
